Lambton Road Medical Practice are looking for a Receptionist/Administrator to join our team. We are a large Practice of around 18,500 patients. We have a mixed clinical and non-clinical workforce, including Receptionists, Administrators, Care-Coordinators, Secretaries etc.
We are also attached to Grafton Medical Partners who have Practices in Wandsworth and Lambeth.
The role is patient facing, telephone and administrative work and your days would be varied based on a rota system.
We are ideally looking for a Full time candidate but would consider Part time candidates if the right person applied.
Main duties of the jobBeing a larger Practice we are always busy, the right candidate would have a great telephone manner and take pride in their work.
They would also have excellent customer service skills and a professional manner.
We welcome all candidates to apply, whether they have had previous experience within the NHS or not. You will have an induction period along with regular training updates and support in Practice.
About usAt Lambton Road we strive to offer the best care for patients, from the moment they book their appointment until they are seen/diagnosed. We are also a teaching Practice and engage with Trainee GPs, research etc.
Job responsibilitiesThis is a mixed role, of both reception work and administrative work.
See below a list (but not exhaustive) of duties you will partake in were you to be successful. Job description is available on request.
- Front desk - Greeting patients, temperature checking patients at the door, booking appointments.
- Answering the telephone - Dealing with patients questions and queries, finding out the reason for appointment requests to ensure they are booked with the appropriate clinician (training provided), booking follow up appointments, recalling patients as per directives.
- Admin - Scanning clinical documents onto Emis, dealing with registrations (ensuring they are completed correctly), Dealing with patient deductions.
- A levels
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
