Overview

We are looking for an Outpatient Front of House Receptionist to support the Outpatients department. The successful candidate will be expected to provide a courteous reception service to patients and clinicians, work closely with nursing and medical staff, manage the booking of designated follow up appointments and work effectively as part of the out‑patient team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a courteous reception service to patients and clinicians in line with office procedures, contributing to the overall efficient and effective running of designated outpatient clinics.
  • Work closely with nursing and medical staff to ensure that any issues in clinic are raised immediately to maintain an excellent level of service to patients.
  • Ensure an efficient, high quality and timely service is provided by manning the reception clinic(s).
  • Manage the booking of designated follow up clinics and ensure that these are booked efficiently, raising any booking issues immediately with medical staff to ensure patient care is not compromised.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience of working in an administrative position with the public.
  • Excellent customer care skills in a busy and high‑pressure working environment, working across multiple outpatient clinic locations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to demonstrate the Trust values, responsibilities of the job description and person specification.
