Boutique Venture Capital Firm | Central London

£60,000 + discretionary bonus | Full-Time Fixed Term Contract | Hybrid Working (2 Days Office / 3 Days Remote)

August / September 2026 - December 2027

We are partnering with a highly regarded boutique venture capital firm to appoint an experienced and proactive EA / Office Manager to join the team on a maternity cover contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a collaborative, high-performing team of approximately 10 people, working within a fast-paced yet supportive environment. This is a broad and varied role that combines hands‑on office management with light‑touch executive support. You will be the go‑to person for the smooth running of the office, ensuring operations are seamless while helping to deliver a positive and engaging working environment for the team.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing light‑touch executive support and diary management for the Partners and CFO
  • Managing the day‑to‑day operations of the office and acting as the main point of contact for facilities and suppliers
  • Coordinating internal and external meetings, including board meetings
  • Preparing meeting materials, taking minutes and tracking follow‑up actions where required
  • Overseeing office Health & Safety requirements and ensuring compliance obligations are met
  • Managing relationships with the landlord, building management and external vendors
  • Organising company events, including the Annual General Meeting (AGM), team offsites and social events
  • Coordinating travel, accommodation and event logistics
  • Managing office systems, subscriptions and technology platforms, including Zoom and virtual events
  • Supporting website updates and liaising with external branding agencies
  • Assisting with invoice processing, expense administration and budget tracking alongside the finance team
  • Acting as the central point of contact for office logistics and employee experience initiatives

The role offers hybrid working, with 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely each week.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • An experienced EA and/or Office Manager from a fast‑paced professional environment
  • Confident supporting senior stakeholders with discretion and professionalism
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable taking ownership of office operations end‑to‑end
  • Proactive, resourceful and solutions‑focused
  • Warm, approachable and naturally service‑oriented
  • Able to manage multiple priorities whilst remaining calm and organised
  • A strong communicator who enjoys building relationships across the business

Experience with in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Investment Management, Professional Services or a similar environment would be advantageous, although not essential.

Timing & Handover

The successful candidate will ideally join in August or September 2026, allowing for a comprehensive handover period before the maternity leave commences.

The fixed‑term contract will run until December 2027 to ensure continuity and provide full support to the business throughout the maternity cover period.
