We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional candidate to join the Integrated Women, Children's & Sexual Health directorate as a Ward Clerk on a part‑time basis (7.5 hours a week). The successful candidate will support the provision of the highest quality patient care through dedicated administrative and clerical support and continuous improvement. They will demonstrate advanced communication and organisational skills, initiative, problem‑solving, excellent attention to detail and a passion for patient care.
Mainduties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for delivering an effective and efficient support service to assist in the provision of quality patient care, including general clerical, administrative and reception duties that support the administrative elements of the entire patient pathway.
Person Specification- Educated to GCSE / O' level or equivalent, including Grade C or higher in English and Maths.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment, NHS.
- Customer Service/Support experience.
- Evidence of ongoing continuous personal development (CPD) and training.
- Show tact and diplomacy.
- Able to discuss sensitive issues with clinicians, doctors, midwives and the public.
- NHS experience.
- Knowledge of Cerner.
- Knowledge of maternity pathway.
- Knowledge of HIM tracking / medical records.
- Knowledge of customer service.
- Willing to undertake in‑house training.
