Senior Administration Officer
Full Time, Required for September 2026.
The Senior Administration Officer is a key member of the school's administrative team and is often the sole member of staff based within the school office. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the school office, providing a professional and welcoming front-of-house service, and delivering high-quality administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, staff, parents, governors, and external agencies.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the planning, development, and organisation of administration systems, procedures, and policies that facilitate the smooth operation of the school.
- Analyse and evaluate data and information to produce relevant reports including HR and finance.
- Achieve value for money in procurement and resource management.
- Undertake the administration of human resources matters including contracts of employment.
- Provide a professional and friendly front-of-house service, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain excellent interpersonal and communication skills with staff, parents, governors, and external agencies.
- Handle multiple priorities and work independently with initiative.
- Be flexible and able to work alone or as part of a team.
- Show proficiency in ICT and use a range of software applications.
- Display excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask and solve problems independently.
- Qualifications in English or Maths essential.
- NVQ Level 3, degree, or equivalent desirable.
- Experience in educational administration preferred.
- Positive, friendly, and approachable manner.
- Proactive, highly organised, capable of working independently.
- Strong confidence in reaching out to support providers for guidance.
- Problem solving skills and initiative.
