We are seeking an Administrator to join our busy Practice Plus Group Bank team, supporting both NHS and self-pay patients with a range of diagnostic imaging procedures. You will also be required to cover the reception desk, appointment scheduling, and data entry when required. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working as part of a collaborative team, and is passionate about delivering excellent patient care.
This role is offered on a bank (0-hour) contract. There are no guaranteed hours, and shifts will be offered depending on business needs. You can accept or decline shifts based on your availability, making this a flexible option—but it may not be suitable if you are seeking consistent or full-time hours.
What you'll be doingAs our Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our clinical administration process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing patient referrals and ensuring accurate clinical and demographic information is captured.
- Managing completed diagnostic reports, forwarding them to referring clinicians and patients.
- Handling patient and customer queries, directing them to the appropriate team members.
- Supporting the appointment scheduling process and assisting with data entry.
- Covering reception duties when required, ensuring a friendly and professional welcome for patients.
- Ensuring confidentiality and professionalism when handling patient data.
- Participating in team discussions, training, and development, contributing to a positive and efficient working environment.
We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused Administrator who has:
- Strong administrative skills, with experience in data entry and keyboarding.
- Previous experience in customer service or a telephone-based role.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
- A friendly and professional attitude, ensuring high-quality service for patients.
- Flexibility and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Desirable but not essential:
Experience working in a healthcare setting or familiarity with medical terminology.
- An hourly rate of £12.72.
- Working within a friendly and supportive team.
