Practice Education (Placement Activity) accounts for up to 50% of a student’s course when studying a professional degree and is imperative to ensure our students have the relevant opportunity to gain experiences and the required skills for their chosen profession. The Placement Coordinator’s role is to oversee high quality, efficient and effective placement administrative support for students, academics, and placement providers.
The post holder will utilise their extensive administrative skills to support the workings of the team.
We are searching for an enthusiastic, proactive and organised individual to join the Practice Placement team. You will be supporting our placement activity work predominantly with our education courses, whether this being refining and inputting data, using excellent communication and negotiation skills to support placement allocations, or using your analytical skills to process documentation on behalf of students in support of their placements.
You will need to have an excellent standard of ICT and literacy skills, be able to work independently to deadlines, and be able to communicate appropriately with internal and external stakeholders. You will be a team player, and work across the team to support shared aims and goals.
The Student Development and Graduate Success Directorate (SDGS) offers wide ranging practice-based education and training programmes across Nursing, Health Science, Midwifery, Social Care and Education which are informed by high quality and impactful research.
We have a successful track record in public and service user engagement to develop knowledge transfer partnerships and other enterprise activities.
The Directorate’s professional administration and support teams work together to ensure business and support services are effective, efficient and sustainable in meeting the needs of our students, staff, stakeholders and areas of work.
This is a full time, permanent position with a starting salary of £34,007 per annum.
