Oasis Academy Shirley Park Primary is looking for a professional, organised and personable Admin Officer with Attendance & Reception to join our friendly and committed team.
This is a varied role combining front-of-house reception responsibilities with attendance administration and wider school office support. You will be the first point of contact for parents, pupils, visitors and external agencies, helping to create a warm, welcoming and professional environment for our school community.
Key responsibilities- Managing the school reception and welcoming visitors.
- Answering telephone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Maintaining pupil attendance records and monitoring daily attendance.
- Following up absence and lateness with parents and carers.
- Producing attendance reports and supporting attendance improvement initiatives.
- Managing visitor sign-in procedures and safeguarding protocols.
- Supporting admissions, pupil records and general school administration.
- Assisting with communications, correspondence and office organisation.
- Providing administrative support to leaders and teaching staff as required.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Is highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Can remain calm and professional in a busy front-office environment.
- Has good IT skills and experience using Microsoft Office.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding.
