Joining a reputed client in the Government means you'll play a vital part in keeping courts and tribunals running smoothly-supporting teams who help progress cases, maintain accurate records, and deliver an excellent service to the public.
What you'll be doing:- Preparing papers, files and documents for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings
- Producing standard correspondence, minutes, notes and reports in line with guidelines
- Updating records and data input on in-house systems, including creating and maintaining files
- Post opening and dispatch, and organising meeting rooms, agenda materials and joining instructions
- Clerking civil and family courts/tribunals/hearings to ensure papers and materials are up to date
- Handling counter (face-to-face), written and telephone enquiries, providing a helpful right first time service
- Supporting listing and rota management, checking files and contacting relevant parties as required
- Working to workload targets for throughput and accuracy while processing standard documentation and information
- Checking and verifying documents, records, accounts, claims and returns against criteria and procedures
- Producing basic statistical analysis reports and carrying out straightforward financial processing where needed
- Communicating professionally with the judiciary, court/tribunal users and internal/external stakeholders
- Working collaboratively with your team to apply continuous improvement and contribute to small projects
- Excellent customer service skills, with a calm, polite and prompt approach
- Strong administration capability, including filing, document preparation and accurate record-keeping
- Confidence using computers and maintaining high-quality data input
- The ability to follow processes and instructions, with discretion and initiative within set frameworks
- A team-first mindset, with regular management support and ownership of your own time
- Attention to detail for checking, verifying and interpreting information accurately
- Willingness to be flexible-occasional ad hoc working at other local offices may be required, depending on the role
- There may be opportunities for limited advice or support to others, depending on the position.
- In some roles, you'll have regular contact with court/tribunal users, including members of the judiciary and the legal profession.
