Medical Secretary - Healthcare Client

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Medical Secretary to join a busy team working across two sites for one of our healthcare clients.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous Medical Secretary experience who is organised, professional and confident working in a busy healthcare environment.

Role details:

Location:

Flexible between two sites - SW15 & SW19

Salary: £12.71 per hour

Start date:

ASAP

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm

Contract:

Minimum of 2 months, with potential for extension

Breaks: 1 x 30-minute unpaid break and 2 x 15-minute breaks

DBS:
Enhanced DBS check required (Adult & Child Workforce)

Key responsibilities:
  • Providing medical secretarial and administrative support
  • Managing and coordinating patient appointments
  • Updating and maintaining accurate patient records and systems
  • Assisting with patient billing and related administration
  • Answering telephone and email enquiries
  • Liaising with patients, clinicians, colleagues and other departments
  • Supporting the wider medical administration team with day-to-day tasks
  • Ensuring all administrative duties are completed accurately and efficiently
  • Handling confidential patient information professionally and appropriately
The ideal candidate:
  • Has previous experience working as a Medical Secretary
  • Has experience within a healthcare, medical or clinical environment
  • Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is confident dealing with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Is comfortable using computer systems and medical administration systems
  • Can work effectively in a busy environment and manage competing priorities
  • Is professional, reliable and able to work well as part of a team
  • Is available to start ASAP
  • Has, or is able to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check
