VEHICLE TECHNICIAN SWINDON | £32,500–£40,000 BASIC SALARY | £60,000 OTE | AUTOMOTIVE DEALERSHIP THE OPPORTUNITY We're looking for a highly experienced Vehicle Technician to join an established automotive dealership in Swindon. This is a great opportunity for a Technician with strong technical knowledge and excellent diagnostic skills who is confident handling more complex repairs and supporting the wider Workshop team.

THE ROLE You'll be responsible for servicing, repairs and diagnostics to manufacturer standards, with a particular focus on more complex technical work and maintaining high standards across the Workshop. You'll be responsible for:
Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to a high standard. Diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical and electrical faults. Using advanced diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults. Carrying out technical inspections and identifying additional work required. Supporting less experienced Technicians where required. Working efficiently while maintaining excellent attention to detail. Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with manufacturer procedures.

Maintaining accurate job cards and workshop records. Working closely with Service Advisors and the wider Aftersales team. Helping maintain a clean, organised and professional Workshop environment. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We're looking for someone with strong technical ability and a good depth of automotive experience. You'll need:
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge. Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding ability. Confidence working on more complex technical jobs. Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach. Ability to work independently and support the wider Workshop team. Good communication skills. A full UK driving licence. Franchised dealership experience would be advantageous, particularly for someone with strong manufacturer knowledge and diagnostic experience.
