Service Technician - Wimbledon

We are recruiting for an experienced Service Technician, Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Motor Vehicle Technician to join a large, modern dealership workshop in Wimbledon. Applicants must hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, have previous vehicle servicing and repair experience and have the right to work in the UK. An MOT Licence is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided.

Service Technician Role
  • Carry out scheduled vehicle servicing and maintenance
  • Complete mechanical repairs, including routine maintenance and cambelt replacement
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle faults
  • Carry out warranty and authorised repair work
  • Complete electronic vehicle health checks and identify additional work
  • Produce accurate digital write-ups and complete job cards
  • Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship and efficiency
Service Technician Requirements
  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, including IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent - essential
  • Previous Service Technician, Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Mechanic experience
  • Strong vehicle servicing, maintenance and mechanical repair skills
  • Warranty and diagnostic experience is advantageous
  • MOT Licence is advantageous but not essential - training can be provided
  • Strong teamwork skills and commitment to quality
  • Willingness to undertake manufacturer training and continued technical development
  • Right to work in the UK

The workshop offers exposure to advanced automotive technology including ADAS calibration and High Voltage Battery systems, alongside support from experienced Master Technicians. With a consistent workload of approximately 25-30 vehicles per day, there is also strong opportunity to maximise the uncapped bonus scheme.
