Relevent Football Partners (RFP) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Relevent, purpose-built to commercialise the UEFA men’s club competitions globally. An independent entity, RFP is tasked with providing UC3 — the joint venture between UEFA and European Football Clubs (EFC) — strategic and sales support in the worldwide marketing and sale of media, sponsorship, and licensing rights for the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League, UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Youth League, and the UEFA Futsal Champions League.
Following the UC3 tender process, Relevent Football Partners was awarded the commercial rights to the UEFA men’s club competitions (Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League) on a global basis for the 2027 to 2033 cycle.
As such, Relevent Football Partners is now seeking to build a truly world class business focused on the monetisation of these commercial rights.
Position SummaryThe Global Partnerships Lead is a key role to deliver world-class partnership experiences across UEFA’s club competitions. Reporting to the Head of Partnerships, this role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on delivery to ensure partners unlock the full potential and value of their partnership.
As a senior figure within the Sponsorship and Licensing team, the Global Partnerships Lead will champion creativity, innovation, collaboration, and excellence. They will manage a high-performing best in class team, foster trusted relationships with global brands and agencies, and shape the processes that keep UC3 at the forefront of partnership innovation. This is a role for a natural leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, international environment and is passionate about creating long‑term value for UC3 and its partners.
Key ResponsibilitiesPartnership Leadership
- Act as the senior point of contact for a portfolio of global partners, ensuring all contractual rights are delivered to the highest standard.
- Provide guidance on rights usage, activation planning, and integrated campaigns to maximise partner ROI.
- Work with the Head of Partnerships in delivering partnership strategy, processes, and commercial objectives.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in partnership servicing and activation.
- Line manage the Partnerships Manager, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Indirectly oversee two Partnerships Executives, ensuring alignment and collaboration across the team.
- Foster a client‑centric, high‑performance culture that prioritises collaboration and excellence.
- Support team development through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
- Oversee day‑to‑day servicing for key accounts, ensuring timely delivery of rights and activations.
- Lead partner meetings, workshops, and seasonal planning sessions, ensuring clear communication and actionable insights.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, legal, finance, and insights teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor and escalation point for partner issues, resolving challenges with a solution‑focused approach.
- Represent UC3 at partner events and activations as required.
- Monitor and report on partnership performance, including ROI analysis and strategic recommendations.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and best practices to keep UC3 at the forefront of partnership innovation.
- Proven experience managing high-value partnerships within sports, entertainment, or related industries.
- Strong management skills with experience managing and developing teams.
- Exceptional relationship management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long‑term vision and operational delivery.
- Highly proactive, solution‑oriented approach in fast‑paced environments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint essential).
- Fluent English required, additional languages an advantage.
