Business Development Specialist - M&A & Private Equity

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist to support our EMEA M&A, Private Equity, and specialist practices. This role is key to driving growth, enhancing client relationships, and supporting strategic BD initiatives across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare tailored pitches, RFPs, credentials, and directory/award submissions.
• Support cross selling, client targeting, and key client programme initiatives.
• Coordinate practice group meetings and track follow up actions.
• Maintain and monitor strategic business plans.
• Conduct research on clients, competitors, and market trends.
• Work with Events, PR/Comms, Marketing, and Digital teams on campaigns and events.
• Maintain CRM, experience databases, and BD pipelines.
• Support BD priorities across other practice groups as needed.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years BD experience in a professional services environment; corporate law firm experience desirable.
• Strong interest in M&A and Private Equity.
• Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
• Highly organised, detail focused, and able to manage competing deadlines.
• Collaborative, proactive, and confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
