Chain IQ is a global AI-driven Procurement Service Partner, headquartered in Baar, Switzerland, with operations across main centers and 16 offices worldwide. We provide tailored, end-to-end procurement solutions that enable transformation, drive scalability, and deliver substantial reductions in our clients' indirect spend. Our culture is built on innovation, entrepreneurship, ownership, and impact. Here, your voice matters - bold thinking is encouraged, and action follows ambition.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Contract Specialist role will oversee running S2C E2E and in full responsibility for e.g. simple framework agreements, contract amendments with no commercial impact, contract terminations, re-papering with no commercial impact of Chain IQ clients under the guidance of clients’ legal teams with all contracting stakeholders, as a key contact for the stakeholders during the process.
In addition to core responsibilities, the role may also involve handling specific, one-time requests to support the Strategic Tactical and Operational Sourcing teams as needed. The focus is to support the sourcers in reducing material deviations from the contractual standards and policies agreed with the client (on client or vendor paper) in a constantly changing matrix environment amongst diverse functional teams.
Each team member will need to be able to leverage quick learning skills and accuracy, as well as ability to collaborate transversally both as team player as well as independently, and to manage multiple priorities in parallel. They are engaged as a third step of escalation, after the sourcers initial negotiation and consultation with their manager.
- Contractual Expertise:
Offer specialized support on complex legal contract terms, risk mitigation, and compliance with internal and client policies and legal standards. - Escalation Support:
Serve as the tertiary escalation point when Strategic, Tactical and Operational Sourcers, along with their manager, encounter challenges in resolving contractual matters or require more in-depth legal expertise. - Review & Recommendations:
Analyze contract drafts, suggest revisions, and ensure alignment with company and client standards and negotiation strategy. - Collaboration:
Work closely with legal, sourcing, and business stakeholders to ensure contracts are accurate, enforceable, and beneficial. - Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
Maintain records of escalated cases and contribute to contract negotiation
