Location: London (with travel)

Salary: Up to £40,000 + Bonus + CIPS Support

My client is seeking an ambitious and driven Category Buyer – Food, ideally suited to an up-and-coming procurement professional looking to accelerate their career. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their buying journey who is eager to take ownership of a strategic food category, develop their commercial skills, and build strong supplier partnerships within a fast-paced and supportive environment.

A degree-educated individual with a passion for procurement and commercial development would be highly desirable.

• Develop and deliver category strategy and a 3-year growth plan to improve margin, quality, and volume.
• Manage supplier relationships, contracts, and conduct regular business reviews.
• Support sourcing activities and ensure effective implementation of agreed ranges and supply chains.
• Monitor supplier performance and service levels to ensure business expectations are met.
• Use market and performance data to identify opportunities and strengthen category performance.
• Manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively to deliver results.

• Degree educated.
• Experience in buying or procurement, with exposure to food procurement or food categories
  .
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  
  Commercially focused, analytical, and results-driven.
• Excellent stakeholder management and organisational skills.
