Buyer – Retail | London (Hybrid) - Up to £52,000

I’m currently partnering with a leading retail business to recruit a Buyer to join their commercial team. This is a high-impact role offering full ownership of a large, complex category with the autonomy to shape strategy, drive performance and deliver commercial growth.

Location:

London (hybrid working)

You’ll be responsible for driving sales and profitability within your category, building a customer-focused range and delivering commercial initiatives that support wider business objectives.

• Delivering and tracking sales and profit performance for your category
• Developing category strategy and trade plans aligned to business goals
• Building customer-led product ranges and assortments
• Leading supplier negotiations and managing supplier relationships
• Defining pricing and promotional strategies
• Identifying and delivering value-driving initiatives
• Sourcing and developing products and suppliers
• Leading projects and trials with cross-functional teams
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes

• Previous buying or commercial experience within branded retail products
• Strong commercial and analytical skills
• Confident negotiation and supplier management experience
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong numerical and data analysis capability
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong IT skills, including Excel and Power Point
