We’d all like amazing work to do, and real work/life balance. That’s waiting for you right here. Supply Chain and Logistics are the engine room for getting thousands of products from farms and factories, through the business and to our millions of customers every day. We plan around events from barbecue weekends to Sunday roasts, and who wants oven-ready cauliflower cheese to those who prefer to make it from scratch.

Insight and data are everything. But so is judgement — if there’s an issue or ambiguity anywhere, we’re the first to spot it. There’s a big transformation going on. That calls for people who champion change, bring others with them, collaborate and communicate. Because those people can go a very long way.

Joining Sainsbury's as a Portfolio Analyst in the Logistics division means becoming an integral part of a dynamic and collaborative team that focuses on tracking project performance, analysing data, and supporting the delivery of logistics initiatives. As you work closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, you will have the opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making, drive continuous improvement, and enhance the overall portfolio management processes.

With a strong emphasis on personal growth, teamwork, and high-quality reporting, this role offers a rewarding environment where you can make a meaningful impact and further develop your skills in a supportive and customer-focused setting.

What you'll do

As a Portfolio Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting the Portfolio Lead by tracking project performance, analysing data, managing risks and issues, and maintaining dashboards, reports, and governance documentation. Your responsibilities will include consolidating and analysing data from multiple sources to provide visibility of portfolio performance, developing and enhancing portfolio dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators for senior stakeholders, and contributing to the continuous improvement of portfolio management processes.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage with stakeholders, and ensure high-quality data and reporting to support the successful delivery of logistics projects and initiatives aligned with Sainsbury's logistics strategy.

Who you are

You are a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a strong understanding of business operations and project management principles. Your ability to consolidate and analyse data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions contributes to the effective tracking and reporting of project performance, risks, and benefits within the logistics portfolio. With excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, you collaborate across cross-functional teams to prioritise projects, ensure alignment with strategic goals, and drive continuous improvement in portfolio management processes.

Your customer-focused approach, adaptability to changing business needs, and commitment to self-development reflect your dedication to delivering high-quality results and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the organisation.

We are committed to being a truly inclusive retailer so you’ll be welcomed whoever you are and wherever you work. Around here, there’s always the chance to try something new — whether that’s as part of an evolving team or somewhere else across the business - and we take development seriously and promise to support you. We also recognise and celebrate colleagues when they go the extra mile and, where possible, offer flexible working.

When you join our team, we’ll also offer you an amazing range of benefits. Here are some of them:

Starting off with colleague discount, you'll be able to save 10% on your shopping online and instore at…
