Finatal are exclusively partnered with a large-cap private equity-backed financial services organisation that is investing in the development of its commercial and go-to-market strategy. They are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to take ownership of commercial growth across the Private Equity and Real Estate markets.
This is a senior, credibility-led role focused on long-term relationship building rather than high-volume sales, while also offering the opportunity to shape and develop the firm’s sales strategy as it continues to evolve under PE ownership.
Role- Own and drive new business development across private equity and real estate clients, with responsibility for identifying, developing and converting high-quality opportunities.
- Build and nurture senior relationships with PE funds, real estate investors and asset managers, positioning the business as a trusted, long-term partner.
- Lead a consultative sales process from initial introduction through to signed engagement, working closely with senior leadership and technical delivery teams to shape proposals.
- Act as a senior commercial representative of the business in the market, developing a strong understanding of client pain points across fund operations, finance, and reporting.
- Provide market insight to leadership, identifying trends, emerging client needs and opportunities to expand or evolve the firm’s service offering.
- Contribute to the broader commercial strategy, helping to shape how the business positions itself as it continues to scale under PE ownership.
- Proven experience selling professional or financial services directly to private equity funds, with a strong understanding of how PE investment teams and portfolio finance functions operate.
- Demonstrable track record of developing senior relationships with CFOs, COOs, Fund Controllers and Partners within private equity and real estate.
- Experience managing long, complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, taking a consultative and relationship-led approach rather than transactional selling.
- Commercially astute and strategic, with the ability to contribute to the development of sales and go-to-market strategy in a scaling, PE-backed environment.
- Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial setting, working closely with senior leadership to shape propositions and win new client mandates.
