About The Role

Help Us Build Safer Communities in Islington. We are seeking a dedicated Community Safety Officer to join our team and contribute to creating a borough where everyone feels safe and supported. This role is ideal for someone who values collaboration, problem‑solving, and making a tangible difference.

You will work on initiatives that address crime and anti‑social behaviour, improve public confidence, and strengthen community resilience. This includes coordinating responses to local issues, engaging with residents and partners, and delivering practical solutions that make our neighbourhoods safer.

Key Skills And Experience
  • Proven experience in partnership working within community safety, housing, health, or related sectors
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage projects, analyse complex problems, and deliver effective solutions
  • Understanding of issues such as anti‑social behaviour, substance misuse, and environmental safety
  • Skilled in building relationships and fostering collaboration across agencies
  • Flexible approach, including willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends
About The Team

You will join a small, high‑performing Community Safety Team that works across the borough to tackle ASB, improve safety and reduce harm. Reporting to Rosamund Harris, Community Safety Manager
, you will collaborate with colleagues and partners including the police, housing providers, and local organisations. Together, we aim to deliver innovative strategies that reduce violence, tackle anti‑social behaviour, and build trust through engagement and prevention.
