About

the Role

We are looking for a highly structured and analytical problem solver to join the ME+EM Corporate Strategy Team. As a Senior Strategy Associate, you will be responsible for generating insights that enable the business to determine the best opportunities for long term growth and develop recommendations for how to achieve this. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to solve high-impact business challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of our business and external market forces
  • Support with the preparation of materials for key strategic meetings including Board Packs, Management Strategy Meetings and Town Halls
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis that can support key decision-making, working comfortably with internal and external data sources
  • Lead market research and competitive benchmarking to identify key trends, risks, opportunities within the fashion industry
  • Work closely with the Senior Strategy Manager and the Management Team to develop growth strategies (e.g. potential expansion in existing and new categories, geographies and customer segments)
  • Help shape strategic projects, plans and roadmaps ensuring that projects reflect organisational strategic priorities
Skills
  • Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a strategic role, in-house or consulting
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (or Google equivalent)
  • Demonstrable experience of strategic problem solving and framework development
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional presentation, communication and storytelling (written and verbal)
  • Highly structured, analytical and comfortable working with complex data sets with ability to translate analysis into clear insights and recommendations
  • Strong intellectual curiosity, self-motivated and a dynamic team player
  • Interest in Fashion, eCommerce, Retail and working knowledge of emerging trends in this space (industry experience is advantageous)
