About the Role

Our award‑winning Communications and Campaigns team is key to achieving the council’s ambitions – telling the story of its vision and priorities, showcasing achievements and empowering colleagues to help shape change.

In this Internal Communications and Staff Engagement Officer role, you’ll lead and deliver some of the council’s major internal campaigns, while running your own first‑class projects and liaising with key stakeholders from across the council, including the council’s corporate management team. You’ll play a central role in generating new and exciting content for our channels, delivering strategic internal communications and campaigns advice to other teams and senior colleagues, organising key internal events including our annual conference and awards.

In this role, you will be part of high‑profile and fast‑paced communications work, and the corporate centre of the council’s strategy and change programmes. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with our specialist digital, creative and engagement teams, and work on a wide range of campaigns and initiatives. You’ll come with good experience of delivering creative internal communications that effectively cuts through and grabs the attention of colleagues working on the frontline and behind‑the‑scenes.
