Join as a Funds Product Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering Barclays’ Third-Party Product Management function across global distribution channels. In this position, you will oversee the full lifecycle of fund and venture capital products - from arrangement and implementation to ongoing technical support - ensuring seamless execution and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Acting as a subject matter expert, you will manage critical fund information platforms, resolve multi-layered queries, and drive process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce risk.

You will also represent the funds proposition in major change programs, balancing commercial, operational, and regulatory priorities to deliver impactful outcomes. This is a dynamic role that demands strategic thinking, technical knowledge, and excellent stakeholder engagement to support Barclays’ global investment propositions.

To be successful as a Funds Product Manager, you should have experience with:
  • Demonstrated ability in data handling.
  • Solid understanding of operational risk and incident management principles and processes.
  • Experience working on regulatory projects, with awareness of the current and evolving landscape in the UK & Europe, and its impact on Asset Managers, Distributors, and Clients.
  • Background in process design, with the capability to guide projects to completion and bring diverse stakeholders together toward shared goals.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain multi-layered topics effectively.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
  • Professional qualifications such as CAIA, IMC, CFA, or certifications in Project Management and Funds Operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of trade life cycles, as well as pre- and post-sales processes and operational functions related to funds trading in a private banking environment.
  • Familiarity with key systems and tools, including data reference systems, FE Fund Info, and Avaloq.

Purpose of the role

To develop and manage the success of specific financial products and services, providing in-depth expertise on a particular product line, bridging the gap between product development, marketing, sales, and customer service.

Accountabilities
  • Provision of SME expertise on specific products and services to customers and colleagues, including features, functionalities, benefits, limitations, risks and compliance.
  • Identification of market trends, new features, regulatory requirements and potential risks, and analysis of data obtained from sales figures and, customer feedback, to support the product development process, and communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders to improve product offerings.
  • Response to customer inquiries, resolution of issues, and provision of guidance on product usage.
  • Presentation of the advantages and features of the product to potential customers, building trust and encouraging adoption.
  • Assistance with the development and execution of marketing materials for the product, such as brochures, presentations, and online content.
  • Participation in training sessions and workshops to share product knowledge and expertise with colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Participation in events, conferences, and other networking opportunities to showcase the product and generate interest.
