Mergers and Acquisitions Associate

A highly acquisitive private equity backed professional services business is seeking an ambitious M&A Associate to support its continued buy & build strategy. This is a newly created role driven by strong deal flow and ambitious M&A growth targets.

Working closely with the M&A Manager, the successful candidate will support all aspects of the deal lifecycle, from origination and target evaluation through to execution and integration support planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting end-to-end M&A activity across the full deal cycle (from LOI to PMI planning)
• Conducting market mapping, target research, and financial analysis
• Assisting with valuation work, financial modelling, and investment materials
• Supporting negotiation processes and transaction execution
• Assisting in the building of PMI strategies and plans
• Helping manage post-deal integration and synergy tracking activities

Candidate Profile

Candidates are likely to come from:

• Transaction Services / Deals Advisory
• Investment Banking
• Private Equity
• Corporate Development / In-house M&A
• A mixture of the above

Requirements

• 3–5 years’ relevant M&A or transaction experience
• Strong financial analysis and commercial acumen
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Professional services, or similar, deals experience would be an advantage
