About

The Role

Klook is looking for a commercially sharp, hands‑on BD Lead to own France – a strategically important market anchored by world-class public institutions and high travel demand. You’ll manage a complex partnership portfolio, build new supply, and lead a small team.

What You’ll Do Destination Ownership
  • Own France as a destination: develop market understanding, build partner relationships, and represent Klook with credibility across institutional and commercial accounts.
  • Manage a portfolio of high‑complexity partners, including government‑owned and publicly‑funded venues, navigating formal structures and long relationship cycles with patience and professionalism.
  • Be the internal voice of France – share market context that shapes decisions across product, marketing, and operations.
Sales & Pipeline Management
  • Identify and prioritise the right supply partners to expand Klook’s France offering. Build and manage a disciplined acquisition pipeline.
  • Lead commercial conversations end‑to‑end: prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close. Know when to push and when to hold.
  • Set partners up for success on the platform with clear onboarding standards and content quality expectations.
Market Intelligence
  • Stay on top of what’s happening in the French travel and experiences market. Translate trends and competitive signals into clear recommendations.
  • Use data to make decisions and communicate clearly to stakeholders.
Team & Cross‑Functional Work
  • Manage and develop your direct reports, providing clear direction and regular feedback.
  • Work closely with internal teams (product, marketing, operations, finance) to execute plans and remove blockers.
  • Handle a high volume of competing priorities; know where to focus for highest impact.
What You’ll Need Language
  • Native or near‑native French. Strong professional English.
Experience
  • Hands‑on experience managing partnerships with French public institutions or major attractions. You know how these organisations work and how to move things forward within them.
  • 6+ years background in travel, experiences, or a related industry. Understanding of how supply, distribution, and demand connect.
  • Track record of building a pipeline and closing deals, not just managing existing accounts.
  • People management experience.
Skills & Mindset
  • Comfortable operating in formal, relationship‑heavy environments without losing commercial sharpness.
  • Hands‑on and self‑sufficient – you don’t wait for processes or support structures that don’t exist yet.
  • Knows how to leverage AI tools in day‑to‑day work: research, outreach, reporting, analysis. Thinks about where AI can save time or improve output, and applies it practically.
  • Data‑literate: comfortable reading market data, internal metrics, and using them to prioritise and persuade.
  • Resilient in a startup‑style environment with small teams and limited admin support.
  • Strong cross‑cultural communicator – able to adapt style across formal French institutional settings and informal international team dynamics.
Location
  • Ideally, you’re based in proximity to our offices in Barcelona or London. Candidates located in Germany or Amsterdam are also welcome to apply.
