The Role

As a Senior Consultant (SC) you will support the growth of the UK business as part of a global people‑advisory organization. Your responsibilities will include exceptional execution, business development support and mentoring junior team members, while leveraging collaboration with colleagues.

Search Responsibilities
  • Co‑lead the execution of individual assignments throughout the full search process, supporting both candidate and client experience.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the research process to deliver a well‑curated shortlist of candidates for each assignment.
  • Participate in the pitch process and contribute to business development efforts.
  • Discover innovative methods to identify high‑potential talent within a given market.
  • Support new business development and client relationship management to achieve strategic goals and financial plans.
  • Adopt an increasingly commercial mindset and embed diversity throughout our processes.
  • Articulate clients’ critical issues, anticipate evolving needs and suggest solutions.
  • Write, edit and format client‑ready correspondence, including reports and proposals.
  • Assess candidates against role requirements using detailed briefs.
  • Accurately manage and enrich data across assignment, client and candidate records.
  • Anticipate and communicate the needs of end‑user clients and internal stakeholders.
Brand Ambassador / Business Development
  • Monitor industry news, trends and candidate movements; share insights with colleagues.
  • Generate new thinking and insights, cultivating a culture of curiosity.
  • Build internal and external networks to bring relevant expertise to clients and the team.
  • Represent the business internally and externally, enhancing employee and client value proposition.
  • Participate in networking events and forums.
  • Maintain accurate contact information and database coding throughout all stages.
  • Collaborate with the support team to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct a substantial number of general interviews.
  • Ensure adherence to best‑practice principles and maintain standards.
Requirements
  • Research experience in the Insurance sector is preferred; alternatively, experience in broader Financial Services with a demonstrable interest in Insurance will be considered.
  • Excellent conceptual and analytical skills, strong business acumen and exceptional verbal and written communication ability.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, manage time and resources, and juggle multiple projects.
  • Emerging potential to develop into a trusted advisor with deep knowledge of client business needs.
  • Commitment to excellence, high attention to detail and pride in high performance.
  • A collaborative colleague who demonstrates energy, contribution and leading by example across the company.
  • Discretion, sound judgment and high emotional intelligence.
