Location: Greater London

The Senior Manager, Strategy & Growth will be responsible for driving the implementation of IMG’s strategic agenda, ensuring plans are honest, progress is tracked, and the right priorities receive attention at the right time. The role focuses on strategic planning, senior leadership team reporting, initiative tracking, and aligning business functions.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Drive IMG’s strategic plan forward and track business unit performance against commitments.
  • Hold people to account on delivery, spot problems early, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support the yearly strategy planning process by structuring the firmwide cycle, incorporating SLT input, and stress‑testing overall direction.
  • Lead the production of SLT updates and strategy reviews, ensuring quality and usefulness of content.
  • Work with each SLT member on their strategic initiatives, helping them think through plans, ask hard questions, and follow through to execution.
  • Collaborate with IMG’s Finance team to develop regular progress updates on the strategic plan, highlighting what is tracking, at risk, or where gaps exist.
  • Address ad‑hoc strategic questions as they arise, including market sizing, investment case development, or organizational queries.
  • Prepare briefing materials for IMG’s President ahead of key internal and external engagements.
Knowledge and Experience
  • 4–7 years in strategy consulting (MBB or similar) or a corporate strategy function, ideally in media, entertainment, or sports.
  • Strong delivery leadership, overseeing multiple initiatives, anticipating risks, unblocking issues, and maintaining momentum.
  • Experience preparing SLT‑level materials and working directly with senior leadership.
  • Comfortable working with numbers: building growth models, analyzing P&L, and evaluating business cases.
  • Experience in a business undergoing change (transformation, integration, or growth phase).
  • Preferred MBA; familiarity with sports, media, or entertainment; experience in multi‑business‑unit structures.
Skills and Abilities
  • Clear thinking: take a messy problem, identify what matters, and explain it simply.
  • Good judgement around people and politics; knows when to push and when to listen.
  • Independent problem‑solving ability; can turn vague questions into structured approaches.
  • Strong writing: produces plain‑language materials that busy executives will read.
  • Strong financial modelling skills: builds analysis and briefs others as needed.
  • Pragmatic mindset: delivers useful results quickly rather than perfecting for weeks.
  • Knowledge of sports, media, or entertainment; familiarity with professional services firm commercial models.
  • Experience in multi‑business‑unit or holding company environments.
  • MBA preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Permanent position; regular hours 9:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.
  • Based at Chiswick Park; may travel to industry events and work on‑site as needed.
  • Unsocial hours may be required by business demands or deadlines.
  • Adaptation to new systems and technology as appropriate.
