Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Greater London

This is a Director grade influencing, engaging and a hands‑on role to stand up and embed Lean Portfolio Management leading the lean portfolio across the firm's enterprise technology platforms, part of the Chief Operating Office as the function matures from traditional project portfolio management towards lean, value-stream funding, this is a rare mandate to shape the operating model rather than administer.

Build and mature Lean Portfolio Management across Platforms, shift investment from projects to value streams, simplify governance, influence Directors and Platform Owners, and shape operating models?

Candidates without LPM are not being considered.

ROLE & REQUIREMENTS
  • Translate enterprise and Platforms strategy into a clearly funded portfolio of value streams and epics. Move the organisation from project-based budgets towards value-stream funding and lean budgets within agreed guardrails
  • Establish lightweight, outcome-led governance, measuring by flow and OKRs rather than stage gates.
  • Own portfolio-level investment planning, prioritisation, benefits realisation and executive reporting
  • Coach senior leaders and platform owners through the shift, and lead a small portfolio team. Proven experience leading Lean Portfolio Management at enterprise scale, including moving an organisation from project funding to value-stream funding.
  • Strong command of lean budgets, portfolio kanban, cost of delay and WSJF, and governance by flow metrics and OKRs.
  • Experience in a large, regulated financial services environment, comfortable with risk, audit and the capitalisation of change spend.
  • Fluency in a platform and product operating model, and the credibility to influence executive and board level stakeholders. A track record of maturing an operating model, not just administering one.

Desirable: SAFe credentials (LPM or SPC).
