Hosted Buyer / Networking Programme Lead - B2B Events

London | Day Rate - DOE

4-month contract (Freelance or FTC) - Immediate Start

Networking Programme Lead sought by a leading B2B Media & Events business for an initial 4-month contract, to take ownership of the planning, coordination & delivery of their large-scale networking programme as they head into their flagship conference in Q4.

This is a hands-on delivery role responsible for managing a diverse range of networking initiatives, including curated meetings, speed networking sessions, industry meet-ups, guided exhibition tours, networking lounges, and VIP hospitality experiences.

You will act as the central owner of the networking programme, working closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Technology, and Event Operations teams to ensure all initiatives are delivered successfully, participation targets are achieved, and attendees receive an exceptional experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of multiple networking initiatives from planning through to onsite execution.
  • Coordinate schedules, attendee communications, registration processes, and programme logistics.
  • Ensure participation and attendance targets are achieved across all networking activities.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of the hosted meetings programme, from participant registration through to onsite delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to collect, validate, and maintain participant data.
  • Work closely with Marketing teams to promote networking opportunities to relevant audiences.
  • Partner with technology teams to ensure registration, booking, and matchmaking platforms operate effectively.
  • Coordinate with Event Operations teams to ensure all networking spaces are fully prepared, including AV, furniture, signage, catering, staffing, and attendee flow.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in event project management, ideally within B2B exhibitions, conferences, trade shows, or large-scale events.
  • Experience delivering hosted buyer programmes, matchmaking initiatives, networking events, or VIP experiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
