Executive Assistant – Fixed Term Contract until March 2027
Location:
London, Shoreditch. Base salary: £60,000 – £64,000 plus benefits. Immediate starter required.
Monzo is looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to support senior leaders during a five‑year sabbatical leave. The role offers the chance to work across the Executive team, providing strategic support and improving organisational effectiveness.
As a senior EA you will manage complex calendars, operate with judgement and discretion, and drive leadership effectiveness. You will partner closely with the Executive team to anticipate needs, build relationships, and lead projects and initiatives that keep the organisation moving forward.
Key responsibilities include:
- Act as a strategic partner to your leaders, understanding priorities and challenges to keep them focused on high‑impact work.
- Drive organisational effectiveness by creating structure, improving communication flows, and ensuring important initiatives progress.
- Manage time, priorities and focus by owning complex calendars, prioritising trade‑offs, and making recommendations with a strong business context.
- Build trusted relationships across the business, influencing without formal authority to create alignment and remove blockers.
- Lead projects and initiatives from concept to delivery, ensuring momentum and positive outcomes for teams and customers.
- Prepare leaders for important meetings and decisions by ensuring they have the right information, context and insights.
- Maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgement and proactively identify potential risks before they arise.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the EA function, sharing best practices and exploring new technology.
- Significant experience supporting senior leaders in a fast‑paced environment.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making decisions, solving problems and prioritising.
- Strong judgement, communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of an organisation.
- Proficiency with modern workplace tools such as Slack, G Suite, and AI, and a willingness to leverage technology for efficiency.
- Experience in technology, scale‑up or similarly fast‑moving environments is highly desirable.
