Purpose Of Role

The ESG Manager is responsible for leading the Company on a path to greater sustainability and social responsibility. This requires a deep understanding of economic processes as well as ecological and social dynamics.

The ESG Manager will establish robust systems to integrate sustainable practices into our business operations and processes, aligning with regulatory requirements, stakeholder expectations, and long‑term business objectives.

Through collaboration with internal teams and external partners, you will position Connected Kerb as a responsible and ethical leader in our industry, promoting sustainable growth and enhancing corporate reputation.

Your experience in managing ESG data collection, setting goals and KPIs, overseeing audits, and adhering to global reporting standards will be essential. You will collaborate with senior management to evaluate the impact of the Company’s ESG initiatives, mapping our progress towards net‑zero and sustainability excellence.

You will be responsible for keeping abreast of developments in the sector and of changing standards and you may represent the business at conferences and events. Your actions will directly influence the strategy of the business, so it is a key role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accurate ESG reporting and track progress over time.
  • Calculate carbon footprint to produce an annual Net‑Zero.
  • Support bid team with carbon reporting questions in tenders and contracts.
  • Oversee and guide the company in the development and delivery of a comprehensive carbon reduction plan, ensuring measurable emissions reductions and the establishment of robust, science‑based targets.
  • Work closely with internal and external partners and maintain robust, audit‑proof reporting processes and internal controls. A key part would be ensuring all ESG accreditations and certificates are achieved each year, such as ISO
    14001.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of ESG processes.
  • Organise the delivery of social value programmes to fulfil our commitments. These programmes fall into the category of education, conservation, spend and employment.
  • Lead on social value reporting – working in partnership with the Connected Kerb team, our third‑party suppliers, and our clients to report on the fulfilment of our social value commitments in our contracts.
  • Engage with our supply chain to promote best sustainability practices.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate ESG metrics into business processes and strategic initiatives.
  • Engage with stakeholders, such as investors, employees, clients, and communities, to communicate the Company’s sustainability efforts and foster meaningful relationships.
  • Manage a KPI tracking system for energy and carbon emission tracking.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
  • Around 5 years of experience with ESG reporting and strategy – ideally within technology, infrastructure, or engineering industries (EV industry experience is not essential).
  • Strong understanding of carbon accounting frameworks.
  • Good knowledge of ESG regulations, environmental laws, and health and safety standards.
  • Managerial skills are a plus as this role requires strong people skills and experience as you will be in meetings with the C‑suite and will liaise with stakeholders.
  • Relevant degree or certifications in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience managing ISO 14001 audit processes is required.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to identify sustainability risks, develop actionable strategies, and measure impact.
  • Self‑starter, strong drive, and result‑oriented.
  • Enthusiastic about minimising environmental impact and promoting sustainability with a balanced approach to assessing issues and devising action plans.
  • An authentic passion for sustainability and enacting meaningful change.
  • Adaptability and resilience to navigate complex and evolving challenges.
  • Ethical and principled approach to decision‑making and a passion for driving positive social and environmental change.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage numerous projects with competing priorities.
