Role Summary and Impact:
The Global Investment team collaborates with trading, client leadership, commercial, digital, and new business teams at local, regional, and global levels. The team supports investment and trading requirements across the global client portfolio, working with local market agency teams, global clients, and external third parties. Work streams include media value management, marketplace and inflation monitoring, auditor collaboration/management, digital process management, commercial liability and contractual awareness, new business pitches, innovation in developing media channels, and thought leadership.
This role will involve working across several key global clients. Depending on the client, responsibilities may include the items below.
Responsibilities- Trading Delivery:
Work with local market trading teams to track media value delivery according to the agreed methodology. Consolidate media value delivery across media channels, markets, and regions; lead solution-focused approaches where needed; participate in discussions with auditors to resolve issues. - Analysis:
Handle large data sets with quality assurance, spot anomalies, and validate data accuracy and robustness. - Media Knowledge:
Build global knowledge of markets, channels, measurement metrics, methodologies, and trading metrics; share knowledge and support junior team members; maintain a proactive approach to continuous learning. - Market Intelligence:
Develop insights on media price inflation, channel evolution, and landscape changes; keep the team and clients informed of potential impacts and future opportunities. - People and Project Management:
Manage and develop junior team members; ensure timely, high-quality deliverables; manage client and auditor deliverables; multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a solutions-focused mindset. - Relationship Focus:
Collaborate with global markets, internal teams, clients, and third-party auditors; approach issue resolution with thoughtfulness and fairness. - Team:
Actively participate in the Investment team and contribute to a collaborative environment.
The candidate will have experience in a media buying/trading role, within a media auditor, a client business, and/or within an investment management agency team. The role involves working with big data sets, so skills in maths, Excel, and attention to detail are essential. An interest in analysing data, identifying trends, and storytelling is important. Experience with advanced analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI) and VBA/macros is advantageous.
Strong relationship-building skills across internal global teams and external parties are important. Good organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, plus a proactive and friendly approach, are beneficial. The role is in a global team, which may involve communicating with markets where English is not the first language; therefore, strong written and spoken English skills are essential.
