About Vialto

Vialto is a global professional services firm that helps organizations and their people navigate the complexities of global mobility, tax, immigration, and rewards. Our Legal, Risk and Compliance (LRC) function spans a broad portfolio of programs — from employment law, data privacy, and financial crime to company secretarial compliance, business continuity, and contracts management — serving as the firm's governance backbone across multiple jurisdictions.

About

The Role

We are looking for curious, organized interns to join a team that is actively preparing the LRC function for the next generation of AI and automation tools. This is not a traditional legal internship. You will not be doing business-as-usual administrative work. Instead, you will help strengthen the operational foundations of our programs so they are ready for AI-enabled ways of working.

That means getting involved with how programs are structured, how data is organized, and how processes are documented — the practical groundwork that determines whether AI and automation can be adopted effectively and safely. You will be paired with a program owner and guided by an AI Transformation Lead who will scope your work, support your development, and keep your efforts connected to the bigger picture.

What

You Will Do
  • Reviewing and organizing program data to improve consistency, accessibility, and structure.
  • Consolidating information that currently sits across multiple locations into single, reliable sources.
  • Drafting process documentation, playbooks, and standard operating procedures where none currently exist.
  • Conducting research — regulatory developments, peer benchmarking, tool landscape analysis — and structuring findings into usable outputs.
  • Building operational tooling such as trackers, dashboards, and structured reference materials.
  • Supporting the setup and documentation of AI-enabled tools and workflows under governance standards.
  • Quality-reviewing AI-generated outputs and helping calibrate how tools are used within the function.

All work is performed under a clear governance framework and within Vialto's approved toolset. You will be trained on the standards and expectations before you begin.

What Is In It For You
  • A working understanding of what it takes to prepare a legal function for AI adoption — not the theory, but the real operational and governance work behind it.
  • Direct experience with AI governance standards, responsible AI use, and the kind of structured thinking that organizations are building their AI strategies around.
  • A portfolio of real, documented work products you built and handed off — assets that continue to be used after your internship ends.
  • Confidence using AI tools in a professional, governed environment.
Essential About you
  • A graduate or final-year student with a genuine interest in law, legal operations, compliance, or risk management.
  • Strong research and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate work for a non-specialist audience.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple work streams and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with data: you do not need to be technical, but you should be willing to clean, structure, and organize information in tools like Excel, SharePoint, and MS Lists.
  • Curious about AI and its application in legal and compliance work. We are not looking for prompt engineers — we are looking for people who want to understand how AI is changing the way legal teams operate.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Self-directed and comfortable working remotely, with strong communication and time-management skills.
Desirable
  • Prior exposure to an in-house legal environment, a law firm, a professional services firm, or a legal technology setting.
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot.
  • An interest in governance, data management, or process improvement.
  • Experience with project tracking tools, dashboards, or basic workflow automation.
Why this role is different

Most internships put you on the periphery of a team's day-to-day work. This one puts you at the center of a transformation. You will leave with a portfolio of real assets you built, registered, and handed off, and with a working fluency in AI governance that very few early-career professionals have.
