About the role As Gin Maintenance Manager, you will support and inspire our engineering teams while coordinating maintenance and engineering activities across our gin distilleries. You will play a key role in shaping and delivering a sustainable maintenance strategy, enhancing asset reliability, overseeing capital projects, and developing the skills and capabilities of your team.
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on operational performance through collaboration, continuous improvement, proactive maintenance, and people-focused leadership. Working closely with operational and technical stakeholders, you will help create an environment where safety, reliability and continuous learning enable long-term business success.
What you will do Engineering Leadership & Maintenance Excellence Support, coach and develop engineering teams across our gin distilleries, creating an inclusive and engaging working environment.
Foster a culture of safety, shared responsibility, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Implement and maintain effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Asset Management Systems.
Support the team in achieving industry-leading maintenance management standards and best practices.
Work collaboratively to identify opportunities to improve plant reliability, availability and operational effectiveness.
Encourage knowledge sharing, capability development and continuous learning across the engineering function.
Operational Engineering Support Coordinate corrective maintenance, repairs, overhauls, equipment modifications and replacement programmes.
Ensure technical documentation, drawings and engineering records are maintained in line with company standards.
Deliver annual distillery shutdown programmes safely, efficiently and within agreed timelines.
Partner with operational teams to align engineering resources with production priorities and business needs.
Provide technical guidance and support to help resolve engineering challenges and improve site performance.
Safety, Compliance & Governance Maintain engineering legal compliance across all relevant legislation and company standards.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, Site Security and environmental requirements.
Issue and maintain Work Authorities and Permits to Work.
Support effective engineering change management processes, ensuring documentation, certification and handover procedures are completed to a high standard.
Promote safe and responsible ways of working, encouraging engagement and continuous improvement in safety performance.
