Proclinical is seeking a Senior Compliance Specialist to join a dynamic team focused on healthcare professional (HCP) engagement and sponsorship compliance within the medical devices sector. This role involves ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry codes while fostering a culture of integrity and ethical business conduct across the EMEA region. The position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to broader compliance program initiatives.
Responsibilities:- Serve as a subject matter expert for compliance matters related to HCP engagement across EMEA.
- Provide risk-based guidance to business functions (e.g., Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing) on HCP interactions, ensuring compliance with laws, industry codes, and internal policies.
- Review and approve HCP engagement activities, assessing business needs, rationale, and compliance with fair market value principles.
- Manage the sponsorship review and approval process for third-party educational events, ensuring alignment with relevant regulations and policies.
- Oversee sponsorship contracting processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.
- Maintain centralized trackers and documentation for transparency and audit purposes.
- Design and deliver targeted compliance training as needed.
- Collaborate with the Director Compliance Officer EMEA to provide updates on key activities, risks, and trends.
- Strong experience in ethics, compliance, or similar roles within the life sciences sector, with expertise in HCP-HCO engagements.
- Knowledge of global laws and regulations, including the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and industry principles governing interactions with HCPs and HCOs.
- Proven ability to foster an ethical culture and align compliance with business objectives.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Skills:
- Experience with data analytics.
- Fluency in French, German, or Spanish is a plus.
