Technology Director – Digital Assets & Distributed Systems

There’s a structural shift underway in how financial assets are issued, transferred, and settled.

An international financial market organisation is building a next-generation platform for digital securities and tokenised assets, in close collaboration with central banks and regulatory bodies.

They are now hiring a Technology Director to define the architecture and technical direction of this platform. This is not a programme leadership role—it’s a hands‑on, architecture‑first position for someone who can make and defend complex technical decisions at the highest level.

As Technology Director, you will define the architecture and technical direction for a next‑generation platform for digital securities and tokenised assets.

You will act as the senior technical authority across engineering, product, and senior stakeholders — shaping decisions across distributed systems, DLT platforms, and digital asset models within a regulated environment.

This is a new platform build rather than a legacy transformation, with central bank engagement already in place. The role offers high visibility at ExCo level within a lean structure — enabling meaningful influence without heavy hierarchy.

• Define and challenge architecture across DLT platforms, smart contracts, and digital asset models
• Evaluate public vs private vs hybrid blockchain approaches in a regulated context
• Shape the design of tokenised asset and digital cash solutions
• Act as the senior technical authority across engineering, product, and senior stakeholders
• Translate complex distributed systems concepts into clear, business‑relevant decisions

• Brings deep expertise in distributed systems and DLT / blockchain architecture
• Demonstrates strong judgment across platform selection, interoperability, and system design
• Can engage confidently with senior executives and regulators
• Has a track record of taking complex technology from concept through to production
