Summer Internship – Alternatives Business Management Intern, EMEA
Internship positions are located at PIMCO’s London Office.
Eligibility- Are an undergraduate currently pursuing a degree with an expected graduation date of December 2027 – June 2028
- Must be able to begin full time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028
- On track to achieve a minimum 2.1 degree (or equivalent)
- Are business proficient in English
- Enjoy working collaboratively across the organization to resolve issues
- Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills
- Well‑refined communications skills. Can articulate ideas and strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in the following is a plus:
Excel, SQL, Business Objects, Bloomberg, iLEVEL, PowerBI, and Deal Cloud - Preferred but not required: buy or sell side trade room, private equity and/or real estate, legal and/or compliance, product and/or project management related experience
- Have demonstrated curiosity and experience in using new emerging technologies and AI tools in your work or school projects to solve problems and drive better outcomes
The PIMCO Internship is a 10‑week program that runs from early June to mid‑August, with the expectation that you will be available for the full duration of the program. During Week 1, you’ll participate in PIMCO Fundamentals Training, providing you with the skills, knowledge, and relationships that will prepare you for success. Alongside your colleagues, participate in PIMCO's Global Month of Volunteering, developed to heighten the impact of our employees' worldwide volunteer efforts.
Join us for a variety of cross‑divisional education, networking & social events! Your supervisor, peer mentor, senior leaders and team offer guidance and mentorship throughout the summer. You will gain hands‑on experience with AI‑powered tools from day one, with training and resources that help build future‑ready skills and make an impact from the start. You’ll receive feedback at mid‑and end‑of‑summer as part of a formal review process to keep you on the path to meeting your summer goals.
As a PIMCO intern, you’ll receive competitive compensation, along with a transition bonus to help with relocation to one of our office locations.
- Business Management & Administration: Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting: manage critical reporting, forecasting, capacity analysis, and budgeting for the alternatives business
- Business Administration: manage the administrative system that guides day‑to‑day operations for our global alternatives business
- Strategic Initiatives: develop and manage strategic initiatives that allow PIMCO’s alternatives business to scale, achieve its goals, and mitigate risk
- Solutions Management: create innovative solutions that are standardized, scalable, sustainable, singular, and secure
- Project Management: lead complex projects that have large cross functional teams
- Individual Contributor: Alternatives Business Management will also often act as individual contributors on the initiatives it spearheads and oversees
