The team

The Global Markets Chief Operating Office (COO) sits at the centre of the business, working closely with senior leaders to deliver strategy, drive key initiatives and support the day‑to‑day management of the business. Our teams lead projects, analyse business performance, coordinate across functions, and help ensure the business remains efficient, well‑governed and prepared for future opportunities and challenges.

Programme Overview

As a Summer Analyst you will join one of our Global Markets COO lines of businesses, gaining insight and supporting on a variety of new initiatives, projects and day‑to‑day activities. You will benefit from direct exposure to a breath of products, data, and regulatory initiatives whilst connecting with business partners across the world. Our teams covering client and business strategy, data and project management, risk and controls management are dedicated to understanding the unique complexity of Global Markets, ensuring they operates efficiently to meet our goals.

Training

and Development

Your training and development is our top priority with extensive formal training offered at the start of the programme in addition to on the job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout.

Responsibilities:

As a summer analyst, your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Given at least one key project to work on, deliver and present at the end of the internship
  • Performing various analytical tasks with qualitative and quantitative data
  • Communication and interaction with team members and senior leaders across the Global Markets COO teams
  • Preparation of senior management presentations and other materials for internal stakeholders
  • Working on several projects at once and being effective as an individual and as part of a team
  • Developing and maintaining complex spreadsheets and databases
  • Documentation and review, including regulatory documents and other legally required documentation
Eligibility
  • Candidates are required to be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a completion time frame between September 2027 and July 2028. Completion means that you have completed all final exams, coursework, and have no outstanding requirements for graduation. Please note that we reserve the right to request evidence of this completion date before extending an offer.
  • On track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent)

Candidates who perform well during the internship may be offered full time employment to commence in July 2028; some lines of business may also offer the opportunity of a January or April start date. You must be available to join on one of these start dates if offered, unfortunately we are unable to offer deferrals.
