The role:We'relooking for a Head of Occupational Health to lead the delivery of occupational health services across British Airways. Reporting into the Chief Medical Officer,you'llprovide strategic leadership across occupational health operations, ensuring servicesremainclinically robust,compliant and aligned to business needs.
Working closely with business leaders, regulators and clinical teams, you'll oversee service delivery, drive continuous improvement and support the development of policies, governance frameworks and innovative ways of working that enable the function to deliver excellent outcomes for both colleagues and the business.
- Lead the delivery of occupational health services across British Airways.
- Provide leadership to Occupational Health Managers, Health Surveillance Managers and Musculoskeletal and Ergonomic Specialists.
- Oversee clinical governance, qualitystandardsand regulatory compliance.
- Build strong relationships with internal business areas, externalagenciesand regulatory bodies.
- Provide specialist medical support and advice to physicians,nursesand managers.
- Lead the development of occupational health policies, servicemodelsand performance measures.
- Drive continuous improvement and transformation initiatives across occupational health services.
- Ensure occupational health services support business requirements and operational readiness.

Experience:
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a licence to practice in the UK (essential).
- Qualifications in Occupational Medicine (MFOM minimum with Specialist Registration in Occupational Medicine), and Aviation Medicine (DAvMedor equivalent desirable).
- Previous general practice or other general medical experience (essential).
- Occupational health experience with ability to understand,anticipate and implement occupational health requirements in a large and complex commercial organisation (essential).
- Experience of health issues associated with air travel (essential).
- UKCAA accredited AME (essential).
