This role is mainly office based with some flexibility for hybrid working subject to the requirements of the business. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.

About the Role

London Transport Museum is entering an exciting period of growth, supported by the transformational LTM
50 project, which will create new opportunities to expand commercial revenue streams and enhance the Museum's offer.

As part of the Transport for London family, the Museum operates at the intersection of culture, heritage and commerce. This role will lead the Venue Hire and Catering function, driving revenue growth across venue hire, filming, photography and catering whilst ensuring exceptional customer experiences and operational excellence.

Reporting to the Enterprise Director, you will be responsible for developing commercial opportunities, leading strategic partnerships, managing key supplier relationships and ensuring the successful delivery of events within our unique London venues.

Skills & Experience

We're looking for a commercially driven venue hire and events professional with experience of balancing operational delivery with revenue generation.

  • Experience delivering commercial growth within venue hire, events, visitor attractions, heritage, arts or cultural organisations.
  • Strong sales and marketing expertise, with a track record of developing new business opportunities and increasing revenue.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credible relationships across internal teams, senior leaders, partners, clients and suppliers.
  • Experience working within complex stakeholder environments where commercial objectives, customer experience and organisational priorities must be carefully balanced.
  • Experience managing procurement exercises, tender processes and contract negotiations.
  • Strong supplier and catering contract management experience, ensuring service excellence, compliance and value for money.
  • A strong operational background with experience leading events from enquiry through to delivery.
  • Financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting and commercial reporting.
  • The ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to switch between strategic planning and operational delivery.
