PURPOSE OFTHE ROLE
Large organisations rarely struggle because they lack ideas.
They struggle because priorities compete, decisions take too long, important signals are missed, and nobody is looking across the whole system.
We're building a new function to help solve those problems.
As a Strategic Alignment Lead, you'll help BBC Media Tech turn complexity into clarity, alignment and action.
You won't manage projects.
You won't own delivery.
You won't run operational services.
Instead, you'll help leaders understand what matters most, where trade-offs exist, and what action is needed next.
WHY JOIN THE TEAMYou’ll operate at a digital portfolio level helping shape how strategic choices are madeacross a complex portfolio of digital products, not just how work is delivered. As a newly established function, you’ll help define how Portfolio Alignment works in practice, notjust operate within an established model. This is an opportunity to influence how workis sequenced and coordinated across a complex environment, supporting strategic decisions that help the BBC deliver for audiences now and in the future.
