Location: Greater London
Work Pattern: 3-4 days a week in office
PAYE Pay Rate: £200.49 per day
Main Purpose of the RoleTo provide high-quality executive and project support to the Assistant Chief Executive of Strategy & Communities, helping to coordinate strategic priorities, projects and programmed across the Council.
The role will ensure key meetings, actions, projects and deadlines are effectively managed, while providing accurate information, briefings and support to enable senior leaders to make informed decisions.
A Typical DayNo two days will be the same. You may be:
- Managing the Assistant Chief Executive’s diary and coordinating meetings.
- Preparing agendas, reports, presentations and briefing notes.
- Attending leadership or programme meetings and tracking actions and decisions.
- Updating project plans, risks, issues and key milestones.
- Liaising with senior officers, elected members, partners and other stakeholders.
- Carrying out research and analysis to support strategic decisions.
- Coordinating workshops, engagement activities or programme events.
- Following up actions and identifying potential issues before they become problems.
- Supporting improvements to processes and ways of working.
- Strong executive and senior management support experience.
- Excellent organization and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong project and programmed coordination skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to produce high-quality reports, briefings and presentations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Confident working with senior leaders and a wide range of stakeholders.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative and exercise sound judgement.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong meeting, governance and action-tracking skills.
- A proactive, flexible and solutions-focused approach.
- A relevant degree, professional qualification or equivalent level of experience in project management, business administration, public sector management or a related field.
- Evidence of relevant experience supporting senior leaders and/or coordinating projects and programmes.
