We’re looking for a Senior Operations Control Associate to join our Specialty division, supporting the continued development and delivery of our first line risk framework. This is a key role within the business, acting as an Operations specialist to ensure effective governance, oversight and control across the division. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the three lines of defence to embed best practice, minimise risk, and drive continuous improvement.
HowYou'll Make An Impact
- Supporting the delivery and enhancement of the first line risk operating model across Specialty
- Building strong relationships with 2nd and 3rd line teams to ensure effective collaboration and oversight
- Maintaining and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Owning and maintaining process control artefacts, including templates and checklists
- Conducting quality assurance activities, including file reviews and audits
- Supporting governance frameworks and tools, including product governance processes
- Identifying trends, carrying out root cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting key projects to ensure appropriate risk assessment and control implementation
- Experience with in operations, risk, compliance, or a middle/back-office environment
- Strong understanding of operational controls, governance, and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
Highly organised with a proactive, solutions-focused approach - Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Confident presenting and working with senior management
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Strong MS Office skills
- Experience with in the insurance or reinsurance sector
- Professional qualifications (e.g. CII) or working towards
