Principal Consultant

​We're supporting a growing energy transition consultancy looking to hire a commercially focused professional with experience across flexible energy markets and BESS.This is an opportunity to join a high-growth business operating at the forefront of the energy transition, working across utility-scale storage, route-to-market strategy and evolving power market opportunities.

The role will suit someone coming from a commercial due diligence, strategy consulting, advisory or investment background who is looking to move into a more commercial, market-facing environment with genuine influence across growth strategy and business development.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading commercial analysis across BESS and wider flexibility markets

Supporting investment and strategic decision-making across storage opportunities

Analysing evolving market dynamics including ancillary services, balancing mechanisms and merchant revenue opportunities

Working closely with senior leadership on commercial strategy and market positioning

Building relationships across investors, developers, utilities and wider market participants

Supporting origination and new business activity across the energy transition landscape

Contributing to thought leadership and broader platform growth initiatives

The successful individual is likely to come from a leading consultancy, advisory platform, market analytics business or investment environment with strong knowledge of flexible power markets and a commercially driven mindset.
