Permanent | Full-time | London | Hybrid
I'm currently recruiting for an Ecommerce Assistant on behalf of my client, a rapidly growing and successful retail business with an extensive store network across the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced Dropship Buying team
, supporting the wider Buying function across a broad range of operational, administrative and commercial activities.
I'm looking for a highly organised, proactive and commercially minded Ecommerce Assistant who enjoys working with data, spreadsheets and multiple priorities.
You'll provide day-to-day support to the Buying team, helping to ensure that product, cost, retail price, margin and supplier information is maintained accurately and efficiently.
This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of two days per week in the London office
.
The role would suit someone looking to develop their career within Buying, Merchandising, Commercial or Ecommerce
, while gaining valuable exposure to a fast-moving retail environment.
- Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Dropship Buying team.
- Maintain accurate product, cost, retail, margin and supplier information across relevant systems, trackers and internal documents.
- Support the Buying team with the administration and processing of new lines, commercial changes and product amendments.
- Identify discrepancies and take appropriate action, escalating where required.
- Support supplier administration, including invoice queries, account queries, sales reporting and general supplier communications.
- Assist Buyers with ad hoc requests, reporting, analysis and administrative tasks to support day-to-day trading activity.
- Ensure key trackers, working documents and reports are accurate, up to date and completed within agreed timescales.
- Work collaboratively with Buyers, suppliers and wider internal teams to resolve queries and ensure information is processed efficiently.
- Use initiative to identify issues, investigate problems and find practical solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce manual administration and increase efficiency across the Buying team.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure actions are followed through to completion.
- Provide flexible support across the wider Buying function and assist with other duties or projects as required.
You'll be highly organised, detail-focused and comfortable working with data in a fast-paced environment.
Essential skills and experience:- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Confidence working with Excel and spreadsheets.
- Ability to work accurately with large volumes of data.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive approach and the ability to use initiative.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to investigate issues and find solutions.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.
- Comfortable working to deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
- Previous experience within Buying, Merchandising, Ecommerce, Commercial, Retail or a similar administrative role.
- Experience working within a retail or dropship environment.
- Experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools.
- Experience working with product, cost, retail or margin data.
- Understanding of supplier management and/or invoice processes.
- Experience using internal product or E-commerce systems.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and data manipulation.
£30000 - £31000/year
