Our Risk & Compliance practice is looking for an experienced Director to help shape and grow our Economic Crime capability.

Baringa is committed to reducing economic crime and the negative consequences it has on society. As a Director, you will combine deep Economic crime expertise with senior client leadership, commercial development and practice building. You will advise executive stakeholders, originate and grow client opportunities, lead complex transformation programmes and develop the people, propositions and market profile that support the continued growth of our business.

What you will be doing
  • Building trusted relationships with Chief Risk Officers, Chief Compliance Officers, MLROs, Heads of Economic crime and other senior client stakeholders
  • Originating, shaping and converting Economic crime opportunities and building a sustainable portfolio of clients and revenue
  • Leading complex, multi-workstream Economic crime programmes from strategy and design through to implementation
  • Advising clients on regulatory expectations, emerging threats, leading practice and the practical design of proportionate controls
  • Overseeing assessments of Economic crime frameworks and translating findings into prioritised remediation plans and roadmaps
  • Shaping technology-enabled transformation across KYC, transaction monitoring, screening, investigations and case management
  • Defining and growing market-relevant propositions, thought leadership and go-to-market activity
  • Raising the visibility of Baringa's Economic crime capability through senior client conversations, industry engagement and external market presence
  • Leading, coaching and developing high-performing teams while maintaining a strong focus on quality, inclusion and client outcomes
  • Working collaboratively across Baringa's sectors and capabilities to bring the best of the firm to clients and create broader opportunities
  • Contributing to the strategic direction, commercial performance and leadership of the wider Risk & Compliance practice
