Product Lead

Getting a building approved, designed and built in the UK takes too long and costs too much. Most of the process still runs on PDFs, email chains and manual checks. We are replacing that with data and AI.

We started with planning. Since 2020 we have gone from a bootstrapped lead gen app to a suite of products used across the property world. IBex powers most of UK conveyancing with planning data. Planda uses AI to predict planning outcomes. Planda Portal launched in 2026 and went national in months. Half of planning applications are submitted invalid and we're the reason that number is falling.

Planning was step one. We are now building much more across the built environment. We are a team of more than 50, moving fast, and hiring a Product Lead to shape what comes next.

Each one has its own users, its own rules and its own roadmap.

You will own what we build, why we build it, and how well it works once it's live.

You will oversee multiple products, and your involvement will vary. Some will need you every day, others a steer every few weeks. Knowing where to spend your time is part of the job.

Our engineers are product engineers. They think about users, make good calls and don't need every detail spelled out. You won't be managing a backlog for them. You will set direction, get the hard details right, and make sure what ships is something we're proud of.

Much of what we build sits in regulated, statutory territory. A wrong fee or a missed exemption isn't a cosmetic bug, it's a real problem for a real application.

You’ll be managed by Alice, our Head of Product, and work alongside our designer and product engineers. Day to day you’ll also work with Giulio, our CTO, and the tech team, plus Brandon, our CEO, Riccardo, our Chief of Staff, and our council, sales and growth teams.

Set and own product direction across our products, balancing new bets with improving what's live.

Prioritise ruthlessly: what we build, what we hold and what we say no to.

Know our market and competitors well enough to see where we can win.

Write clear specs that give engineers the context to run, without telling them how.

Go deep on domain detail when it matters: planning rules, forms, fees and the edge cases nobody else will spot.

Shape how we use AI in our products, including what it should and shouldn't do.

Own release quality. Test flows yourself and catch problems before customers do.

Spot regression risk early, especially where a change could affect live customer workflows.

Decide what ships, what waits and what gets fixed forward.

Design how support works, and turn recurring issues into product fixes.

Speak to users regularly and bring what you learn back into the roadmap.

Join conversations with councils, partners and integrators when they need product depth.

You don't have to be brilliant at all of this yet. You just have to want to be.
