Product manager for HR software

We’re looking for a Product Manager to own a product domain end to end, turning company and product direction into clear priorities, discovery activity, delivery plans and measurable outcomes.

• Taking ownership of the strategy, roadmap and priorities for an assigned product domain, making sure they align to company goals, OKRs and customer needs.
• Owning the end-to-end product lifecycle for your domain, from discovery and business case through launch, iteration and ongoing improvement.
• Acting as the primary owner of the product’s what and why, with a strong understanding of customer problems, business context and desired outcomes.
• Leading discovery activity including customer research, market analysis, stakeholder input and idea validation before delivery begins.
• Combining qualitative and quantitative insight to identify opportunities, reduce risk and refine priorities.
• Making sure the squad has clear product context, decision rationale and success measures throughout delivery.
• Maintaining a clear, prioritised backlog with well-defined epics, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Leading or actively contributing to agile ceremonies and planning, helping the squad balance value, scope, risk and capacity.
• Ensuring work is well-shaped before development starts and that blockers, dependencies and trade-offs are surfaced early.
• Partnering closely with Engineering, Design, QA, Data and commercial teams to shape solutions and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Communicating clearly across technical and non-technical audiences and creating productive partnerships across the business.
• Supporting launch readiness, value proposition work and stakeholder communications for changes within your domain.
• Prioritising work that improves customer value, adoption, retention and wider business outcomes.
• Defining KPIs, reporting on success metrics, and managing risks, issues, defects and compliance considerations in a timely and pragmatic way.
• Keeping documentation strong and ensuring delivery aligns with information security, privacy and wider governance requirements.

• You stay close to customer problems and make thoughtful decisions that reflect real user needs.
• You take real ownership of your domain, work collaboratively across teams and stay focused on outcomes rather than activity.
• You communicate clearly, explain decisions well, and make sure stakeholders and teams have the clarity they need to move forward.
• You can translate company and product direction into practical priorities, roadmap choices and delivery plans.
• You know how to explore problems properly, validate ideas and use evidence to shape better decisions.
• You can manage a backlog effectively and balance value, scope, risk and capacity in a pragmatic way.
• You understand how product choices affect customer value, adoption, retention and wider business outcomes.
• You work confidently with Engineering, Design, QA, Data and commercial stakeholders, and you’re comfortable across technical and non-technical conversations.
• You define success clearly, track meaningful metrics and use insight to guide your next move.
• Whether the domain is customer-facing or more technical, you can work through ambiguity, trade-offs and cross-functional challenges with confidence.

• Hybrid working – Our minimum is 50% of your time spent in either WeWork in Waterloo or our Horsham office
• £75,000-£80,000 + Company Bonus
