Sprout Staffing are thrilled to be working with a truly outstanding childcare setting in the vibrant Brighton area. We are currently seeking a compassionate, committed, and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager to join a team that shares our passion for nurturing the next generation.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a supportive, play-based learning environment and is ready to make a meaningful impact on young lives. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of early childhood education, along with the ability to support a high standard of care and learning across the setting.

• Deliver warm, high-quality care for children aged 05, promoting their safety, happiness, and well-being at all times.
• Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Observe and record childrens progress, ensuring clear and open communication with parents and carers.
• Work closely with the management team to uphold nursery policies, ensuring full compliance with regulatory frameworks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and your team through open, positive communication.
• Support and mentor junior team members to promote collaboration and consistency across the setting.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest best practices through ongoing training and professional development.

• A recognised qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (Level 3+).
• Previous experience in a nursery, preschool, or early years setting is highly desirable.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills to support smooth day-to-day nursery operations.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Most importantly : a genuine love for working with children and a deep belief in the power of early learning through play.
