Assistant / Graduate Quantity Surveyor - London Job Description
We have offices in London, Sheffield, Manchester and Leeds and our core services are cost management, project management, programme management, building surveying and health and safety consultancy.
We are seeking Assistant or Graduate Quantity Surveyors to join our London office to work on projects predominantly in the retail and leisure sectors. Successful candidates will be working as part of a large Quantity Surveying team of all levels. Successful candidates will initially be mentored by a senior member of staff with a view to undertaking duties on a variety of schemes.
Candidates must have a degree in BSc Quantity Surveying (min 2:1 or equivalent) ideally with RICS accreditation. We are looking for engaging individuals with excellent communication skills, great team and work ethic and an efficient goal driven approach, prioritising innovation and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities- Day to day project assistance to Quantity Surveyors in the delivery of projects
- Analysing construction cost information and reporting on findings, often including negotiation
- Using digital measurement software, undertake measurement exercises from detailed drawings
- Utilise and develop key project documents (Tender Reports, Cost Reports, etc.)
- Prepare project specific Tender and Contract Documentation
- Understand and maintain awareness of the different Building Contracts available and corresponding legislation
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail
- Time management and leadership skills
- Great organisational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and willingness to ask for help when needed and supporting other team members when required
- Commitment, enthusiasm and a strong work ethic
- Team player, capable of a flexible approach to ensure client and managers deadlines are achieved
- Energetic & self-motivated
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
- Excellent IT proficiency
- General knowledge of current industry developments
